Things such as marriage laws and military tactics are all widely debated today because of political, economical and religious standpoints.  These points will differ between cultures and the viewpoints and ideas of one culture could be the exact opposite of another. Finding a common ground, understanding, and compromise between the two ideas is the most important part.
