The correct answer is: B. Euclid

Explanation

Euclid was a Greek scientist that is known as "the father of geometry", this recognition is for his studies about shapes such as triangles, circles, lines. He developed a theory to identify the dimensions, saying that the line has one dimension that is the length, others shapes have two dimensions length and width, for example, a rectangle or square; and finally, other shapes have three dimensions that are length, width and high like a cube or a sphere. Other of his studies allowed him to say that the addition of internal angles of any triangle is 180 °. Those Euclid studies contribute to sciences like physics, maths, and geometry. So, the correct answer is: B. Euclid

How did the United States justify Imperialism?
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

Before imperialism there was isolationism, which according to page 608 of the textbook was “the belief that America should stand apart, stay out of foreign wars, and avoid excessive political or economic involvement in foreign affairs”. This worked until 1846 when the US went to war with Mexico and gained four new states. With this new sense of power people begin to lean towards imperialism. Imperialism is “the policy or action by which one country controls another country or territory”. In 1893 there was an economic depression that led to an oversupply of manufactured goods that weren’t moving in America. In order to move these goods, businessman begin looking abroad. They believed that America needed to join the imperial competition and many military and political leaders agreed. A naval officer named Alfred Mahan published a book in which he wrote that in order for America to be a great world power we will need a great navy. This new imperial rule for the for America seemed to be justified by the idea of social Darwinism, which is basically just survival of the fittest.

Which statements about the early years of World War II are correct? Check all that apply. Germany started World War II when it i
madreJ [45]

All the statements but the third one are correct.

Germany started World War II when it invaded Poland in 1939: The German invasion of Poland was a military action of Nazi Germany aimed at annexing the Polish territory. The technical operation, known as "White Case" (in German, Fall Weiss), began on September 1, 1939 and the last units of the Polish army surrendered on October 6 of that same year. It was the trigger of the Second World War in Europe and ended with the Second Polish Republic.

In the Battle of Britain, Germany used bombs to attack Great Britain: The Battle of Britain is the name by which the set of air battles fought in the British sky and on the English Channel is known, between July and October 1940, when Germany sought to destroy the Royal Air Force (RAF) to obtain the air superiority necessary for an invasion of Great Britain.

In the early stages of World War II, Germany demonstrated immense military power: The first German military movements were successful and brilliant, as in the blitzkrieg during the invasion of Poland (1939), Norway (1940), the Netherlands (1940), and above all, the incredibly rapid and successful invasion of France in the year 1940.
