4. The Punic Wars were a series of three wars fought between Rome and Carthage from 264 BC to 146 BC. The main cause of the Punic Wars was the conflicts of interest between the existing Carthaginian Empire and the expanding Roman Republic. The Romans were initially interested in expansion via Sicily (which at that time was a cultural melting pot), part of which lay under Carthaginian control.

5. In the Second Punic War, the great Carthaginian general Hannibal invaded Italy and scored great victories at Lake Trasimene and Cannae before his eventual defeat at the hands of Rome's Scipio Africanus in 202 B.C. left Rome in control of the western Mediterranean and much of Spain.

6. Greek and Roman religions are similar, because the Roman mythology was founded based on the Greek. Religions of both ancient societies are polytheistic religions. Moreover, both cultures have almost the same gods with the same powers. Finally, there are twelve main gods, known as the Twelve Olympians, in both cultures.

7.  A. Zeus

8. Mars

9. The ancient Roman republic had three branches of government. In the beginning, the legislative branch was the Senate, a group made up of 300 citizens from Rome's patrician class, the oldest and wealthiest families of Rome.

10. Rome continued to have a hierarchical class system, but it was no longer dominated by the distinction between patricians and plebeians. Originally, all public offices were open only to patricians, and the classes could not intermarry.

A negative effect of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was that
Soloha48 [4]

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was approved by President Barack Obama in 2009, and consisted on a stimulus package released with the aim of preventing the destruction of jobs, fostering the creation of new ones, and boosting the aggregate demand as a mechanism for economic recovery. Therefore, recovery from the recession of 2007-2009 was sought through the Keynesian way.

One negative effect of  the spending schedule imposed by the ARRA, was that a great part of the money had to be borrowed. National debt was increased and this led to a deficit situation.

why did president wilson's ideas for peace negotiations differ from those of french premier Clemenceau and british prmie ministe
alexgriva [62]
President Wilson believed that they shouldn't be too harsh on Germany & the Central Power, and believed in the 14 points (that he wrote)

However, Clemenceau and Lloyd George believed that they should put heavy reparations on Germany for being part of the losing side (even though they technically didn't start the war), to pay for all the damage costs, etc.

This led to Germany printing more money, and as their money decreased in value, it led them to the "Great Depression", which saw the arising of Adolf Hitler to power. From there, Hitler blamed the past government for not being able to fight on, and tried to build up a military force (which was forbidden under the Treaty of Versailles). However, France & Britain did not stop him, which led him taking over Europe in the next few years

hope this helps
