Answer;

-B. 1/4 in the liver and 3/4 in the muscle cells

Explanation;

-Glycogen is the major carbohydrate storage form in animals, and corresponds to starch in plants. It occurs mainly in liver wet  and muscle. Liver glycogen stores serve as a store of glucose for use throughout the body, particularly the central nervous system.

-Because of its greater mass, the whole body muscle glycogen pool is some 3 to 4 times greater than the liver pool.

Glycogen is typically stored 1/4 in the liver and 3/4 in the muscle cell.

Further Explanation:

The glycogen is made up of alpha-glucose units, and it is a highly un-branched structure used for energy storage. The starch is an insoluble polysaccharide that is made up of amylose and amylopectin. The energy in the animals is usually stored in the form of glycogen. Since the alpha-1,6- glycosidic linkage in the glycogen is responsible for its highly branched structure; it is used for the storage of energy.It is more branched and stores more energy than starch. Generally, it is found in muscle and liver cells but is abundantly present in muscles cell. Approximately twenty-five percent of glycogen is stored in the liver whereas seventy-five percent is present in a muscle cell. Glycogen is made up of several monomer units of glucose, which can be broken down in the body to release energy.
