How did Roosevelt circumvent the American’s wishes to be isolationist?
Julli [10]
He did it through the land-lease act.

According to the act, no american soldiers would be sent to fight the war but rather the act would enable European allies to take equipment and resources from the United States in the form of a loan. Eventually, the United States had to join the war when Pearl Harbor attack happened and soldiers had to stop being isolationist.

How does the court and wealthy merchant patronage shape the content and appearance of religious and secular art?
Andru [333]

Answer:

a lot of the time they would pay artists to paint them into a religious scene; brings back a sense of humanism

Explanation:

During the Renaissance period, the patron played a fundamental function in the development of art. Besides being enthusiastic customers of art, they were its organizer, sometimes controlling content and structure. Wealthy people recognized art as a symbol of power, prestige, or honoring their lineage. The patron provided support to the artist but the relationship between them was always a source of conflict because of the dominating position of patrons.

How did Anne Hutchinson, through her actions and words establish the ideas of freedom of thought, speech, and religion?
jekas [21]
She conducted weekly meetings in her home to discuss the ministers’ sermons, sometimes gathering 60 to 80 people. Hutchinson spoke of a spirit-centered theology which held that God’s grace could be directly bestowed through faith. This went against the Puritan ministers’ orthodox view, which dictated that people must live according to the Bible’s precepts by performing deeds.
