Answer:

Option a. is correct

Explanation:

Spanish use "Tejas" to name the Hasinai Indians because the Hasinai were friendly to the Spanish. The name of Texas comes from the Spanish word "taysha," that means "friend". Spanish officials heard about the kingdom ''Tejas'' late in the 17th century. ''Tejas" became the 28th state of the United States.

Match these people and battles to their proper descriptions. 1. Johnston and Lee attacked McClellan General Halleck 2. commanded
tamaranim1 [39]

1. Johnston and Lee attacked McClellan - Battle of Seven Pines; This was part of the Peninsula Campaign designed to quickly capture Richmond2. Commanded Army of the Potomac - Gen. McClellan, his distrust led to Lincoln replacing him. He would also later challenge Lincoln in the 1964 Presidential Election.3. Kept Union Army in Washington, D.C. - "Stonewall" Jackson; Jackson was quite possibly a better General than Lee; Lee mourned his death greatly. He was accidentally killed by one of his own sentries. 4. Commanded Army of Virginia - Robert E Lee; He was originally Lincoln's first choice for the Commander of the Union forces. When Virginia seceded, however, he could not take up arms against his own countrymen and kin. 5. Commanded Union forces in the East - General Halleck; His defense first mindset led to his quick replacement. Lincoln called him a glorified clerk6. defeated Pope at the 2nd Battle of Bull Run - Jackson and Lee; Pope met adn attacked Jackson's forces. When Lee's men arrived, Pope had to retreat7. Bloodiest single day battle - Antietam; it was also one of the earlier battles. It showed that the war was not going to be over quickly.

HELP ME WRITE THIS IN SPEACH FORM OFFERTING 15 POINTS!!
uysha [10]
Pt. 1
"With the new government, there is something called 'checks and balances'. This is a way for the government to ensure that there is fair representation and equal distribution of power throughout all of the branches. There will be 3 branches; the Legislative (congress), Executive (The elected president), and Judicial (Supreme court). Unlike the monarchy in England, power is equal. I will explain. Starting with the executive branch, the president may veto laws, or refuse to pass them. The president may also appoint judges to the courts, but to keep the president in check, the Judicial branch has the authority to declare presidential acts unconstitutional. The court mat also declare laws from congress unconstitutional, but Congress still has the power to approve/disapprove presidential nominations into the Supreme court, and congress can also impeach judges. To even out the power, Congress can also approve presidential nominations, and control the budget, pass laws over the president's veto, and even impeach the president. This way, every branch presented has its own strengths over one another."
