How did Spain profit from Pizzaro's and Cortes' voyages

History

QveST [7]3 years ago

<em>"The Spanish, by contrast, were more exploitative, choosing to harvest the wealth of the land and ship it back home.  As a result of these two approaches, it was the English colonies which tended to become more prosperous.  Today, the United States, which began as thirteen English colonies, is the wealthiest nation on earth.  But at the time of colonization, exploitation resulted in short-term benefit for Spain.  The 16th century was the time of the Spanish conquistadors (conquerors).  Chief among them were Hernán Cortés and Francisco Pizarro.  Many do not realize the two men were second cousins (I didn't).  But both were successful (the most successful of the conquistadors) at completing the missions they set out to.  With inferior numbers, each separately brought down the two most powerful empires in the New World at that time."</em>

What is true of industrial development in 19th century
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

With the advancing of technology, the industrual development in the 19th century allowed people to live much easier lives.

Explanation:

I am not entirely sure what answer you are looking for as there were several things that occurred during the industrial development in the 19th century. Some things I can list was the impact of the printer and Kodak camera. Printers let the press as well as authors and other every

day citizens print their writings for cheap and the printer would even print on the backside of the paper at the same time. Printers were very convenient for people and let them focus on creating more creative and unique typography. It also pushed for more progression in terms of advancing technology. The Kodak camera came into play during the 19th century which allowed for families and people of all kinds to photograph not just important events, but also small things like going on picnics or of their pets. Some people became aggressively annoyed with technology invading the artistic aspects of people so they started the Arts and Crafts Movement in an effort to call for more hand-written pieces and "true beauty." Overall, industrial development made life easier and more convenient for people to live their every day lives.

leva [86]
<span>Two new forms of theft that emerged as a result of changes in society were train robbery and safecracking. Train robbery became rampant as the use of trains was almost naionwide, some of the previous cargo and lack of security made trains an easy target. Many people held safe's to keep their valuables, so that was not an uncommon thing to steal as well, as people got pretty innovative in how they drilled into these metal boxes.</span>

Why was India involved in the cold war?
viktelen [127]

Answer: Opposing parties sought to expand their influence globally.

Explanation:

India, like many other countries of the world, sought to be drawn into the Cold War. The two biggest competitors, the Soviet Union and the United States, sought to win over Cold War partners outside Europe. Given its geostrategic position and wealth, India should have been drawn into two opposing blocs. Yet, the Indian government has decided not to opt for either side. On the contrary, she was the main initiator of the ideas of the Non-Aligned Movement. The movement found several countries opting for neutrality during the uncertain times of the Cold War.

What was the impact of the one-child policy that China implemented in 1978?
Sonja [21]

The one-child policy was a program that was implemented nationwide by the Chinese government in 1980 in order to limit most Chinese families to one child each. The policy was enacted to address the growth rate of China’s population, which the government viewed as being too high. In late 2015 the government announced that the one-child limit per family would end in 2016. Here are some of the major consequences of the policy.
