Well, African Americans and women were entitled to the same exact benefits as white men under the Gl Bill. Although, they often faced difficulty trying to claim their benefits due to the discrimination. The Gl Bill provided for college or vocational training for returning World War II veterans, as well as 1 year of unemployment compensation, it also provided for loans for returning veterans to bug homes and start businesses. I would say discrimination against African Americans, made it more difficult to purchase a home than white Americans in the post World War II economic boom.
