I would want to talk with Rosa Parks. She is know as "the first lady of civil rights". During a period of time in the United States when there were frequent clashes between civil rights groups and repressive opponents that formed part of the government, like governor George Wallace of Alabama who proclaimed "Segregation forever" in a famous speech in 1963. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, after a long day at work, sat down at the front of a bus. This area was reserved for "white" customers. Rosa being tired, refused to move when asked. This led to her becoming a civil rights icon.

I would ask her what she was feeling at the time. And now that more than 60 years have passed, if she feels the movement she helped inspire truly achieved success for blacks or African-Americans in the U.S. Also, is there anything she thinks that she could have done differently since that time to improve race relations in America. I think it would be good to ask her what are some of the biggest obstacles to success for African-Americans in America today.
