Why does tissue rejection occur? How is this problem overcome??

Tissue rejection occurs when an organ is not recognized by the immune system of the body. This usually occurs in organ transplantation due to incompatibility of the donor's tissues with that of the recipient's. This tissue rejection mechanism is initiated by the Major Histocompatibility Cells of the immune system that are activated and recognize the outsider cells as foreign.

Hello mate :)

Tissue rejection :

 • Tissue rejection occurs when the transplanted tissue is not accepted by the body of the transplant recipient.

 • During tissue rejection, the tissues of the transplanted organ are treated as foreign bodies by the recipient’s immune system and are attacked by phagocytes. This causes the transplanted tissue to fail.

Prevention of tissue rejection:

 1. Required tissue can be transplanted from genetically-similar donors.
 2. Tissue can be transplanted from one part of the body to another, e.g. skin grafting, as the tissue will be recognised as the recipient’s own tissue.
 3. Immunosuppressive drugs can be taken to suppress the immune system of the recipient.

Thanks ❤

Which tectonic plate boundary caused the structure that is circled in the image?
pochemuha

Answer:

I'm guesssing it's B? I did this a very long time ago( two weeks ago)

Explanation:

Most divergent plate boundaries are underwater and form submarine mountain ranges called oceanic spreading ridges. While the process of forming these mountain ranges is volcanic, volcanoes and earthquakes along oceanic spreading ridges are not as violent as they are at convergent plate boundaries.

Which part of the hemoglobin molecule binds carbon dioxide for transport?
Kipish [7]

Answer:

α-amino group

Explanation:

The α-amino group on the hemoglobin binds with the CO2 and this action causes a conformational change in the structure of hemoglobin that ultimately causes the release of linked oxygen. When CO2 is binded to the hemoglobin the whole complex is termed as carbamino-hemoglobin.
