Y=4x^2-10  to find the least possible value we need to find when the rate of change is equal to zero.

dy/dx=8x, well dy/dx=0 only when x=0 so the least vale that y can be is:

4*0^2-10

0-10

-10

Hmm, the squaerd will make it positive
if we had x=-10, we get 400-10 or 390
if we had x=0, we get -10
if we had x=10, we get 390
so the minimum value occurs at x=0 because it gets smaller as x appraooches  0 but gets bigger again as it becomes more negative

least value is -10, which is at x=0

Write a function rule for the table.
Sati [7]

Answer:

p = 7.50h

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer has to be in the form of p =, since p is the pay which represents our y value, and the hours worked represents our x value.  You can find the slope of the line by using the formula and any two points on the table:

m=\frac{30-15}{4-2}=\frac{15}{2}

That simplifies to 7.5.  So the slope of the line is 7.5.  We also know that the line goes through the origin (0, 0), which means, according to our data (and any data in the real world) that if you work 0 hours (x) you get 0 pay (y).  So the y intercept of the line is 0.  The equation, then, in slope-intercept form, is

p = 7.50h, the first choice.  This means that the employee makes $7.50 per hour and should probably consider a new job.

Solve the equation below. SHOW UR WORK<br><br> 10x − 6 = 24
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

10x-6=24

10x = 24+6 (You switch sides because you can add 24 and 6. You cannot add 10x to 24 or 6)

10x= 30

x= 30/10

x= 3

The answer is 3.

Dwayne buys ingredients to make a cake. He buys 112 pounds of flour, 12 ounces of coconut, and 114 pounds of sugar. What is the
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

The only correct options are A, B and E.

Step-by-step explanation:

He buys 1\frac{1}{2} pounds of flour, 12 ounces of coconut, and 1\frac{1}{4} pounds of sugar.

We will add these together, but before that, we convert the 12 ounces to pounds, so that all the units are the same:

1 ounce = 0.0625 pounds

12 ounces = 12 * 0.0625 = \frac{3}{4} pounds

He buys  \frac{3}{4} pounds of coconut.

Adding all of them together yields:

1\frac{1}{2} + \frac{3}{4} + 1\frac{1}{4} = 3\frac{1}{2} pounds

Let us also convert to ounces:

3\frac{1}{2}  / 0.0625 = 56 ounces

Let us also convert 1/2 pound to ounces:

1/2 / 0.0625 = 8 ounces

Hence, the total weight of ingredients that Dwayne bought is 3\frac{1}{2} pounds or 56 ounces or 3 pounds 8 ounces

Hence, options A, B and E are correct.

Which are correct representation of the inequality minus 32X -5 less than 52 minus X select two options
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

The value of X is more than equal to -1.83.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the correct representation of the inequality 'minus 32X -5 less than 52 minus X'

LHS of the inequality will be : -32x-5

RHS of the inequality will be : (52-X)

So,

-32X-5\leq 52-X

Adding X both sides

-32X-5+X\leq 52-X+X\\\\-31X-5\leq 52

Adding 5 to both sides,

-31X-5+5\leq 52+5\\\\-31X\leq 57

Dividing both sides by -31.

X\geq \dfrac{-57}{31}\\\\X\geq  -1.83

So, the value of X is more than equal to -1.83.
