Water scarcity, or the lack of water, is one of the most notorious geographic conditions of New Mexico. This makes the region a hot and arid one. The early Native American people needed to find ways to operate around this situation, and one of their most important accomplishments was learning how to irrigate their crops in such a dry environment.
