Answer:

Width = 20 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A cuboid  of volume 30, 000 cm³ with length 30 cm and height 500 mm.

To find : What is the missing width of the speaker below when its volume is 30,000 cm³ .

Solution : We have given that

Volume of cuboid = 30,000 cm³.

Length = 30 cm .

Height = 500 mm .

1 mm = \frac{1}{10} cm.

500 mm =  \frac{500}{10} cm.

500 mm = 50 cm.

Then height  = 50 cm .

Volume of cuboid = length * width * height .

Plugging the values of volume , length , height .

30,000 = 30 * width * 50 .

30,000 = 1500 * width .

On dividing both side by 1500 and switching the sides.

Width =  \frac{30000}{1500}.

Width = 20 cm.

Therefore, Width = 20 cm.

3,000,000 mm / 300 mm = 10000 mm
10,000 mm / 500 mm = 20 mm

20 mm OR 0.2 cm

please help :) Which number is greater than 3.14159 × 10 to the 4 power? A. 5,678,889 B. 9.897752 x 10 to the 6 power C. 71,224,
BARSIC [14]

Answer: C. 71,224,900

Based on the power, move the decimal point that many spaces to the right. (e.g., If it's 7.9 × 10^3, then move the decimal three spaces to the right, and you'd get 7900.)

3.14159 × 10^7 = 31415900

9.897752 × 10^6 = 9897752

2.468 × 10^7 = 24680000

Out of all the numbers mentioned in the question, 71,224,900 is the only one that's greater than 3.14159 × 10^7 = 31415900.

Identify a possible first step using the elimination method to solve the system and then find the solution to the system. 2x − 5
tatuchka [14]

In order to use the elimination method, we have to multiply the equation by some number, so that one of the variable has the same coefficient.

For example, multiplying the first equation by 3 and the second by 2 gives the following, equivalent system:

\begin{cases}6x-15y=33\\6x+4y=14\end{cases}

Now, we can subtract the two equations, and we will cancel (eliminate) the x variable:

-19y=19 \iff y=-1

Now that y is known, plug it into one of the equations: for example, if we use the first one we get

2x+5 = 11 \iff 2x = 6 \iff x=3
