Sale price = $ 365

Discount percentage = 27 %

Let the regular price be $ x.

x - (27% of x) = 365

x -  \frac{27}{100}x = 365

\frac{100x-27x}{100} = 365

\frac{73}{100}x = 365

x =  365*\frac{100}{73}

x = 5 * 100

x = 500

Hence, the regular price was $ 500.

100%-27%= 73%(percentage of sale price)
73%= $365
1%= 365/73
     = $5
Regular price is for 100%
Regular Price: 100 x 5
                     = $500

It looks equivalent.

Do the Pythagorean theorem on the triangle shown.
2.1^2-1.4^2

4.2-1.96=2.24

Sqrt of 2.24 is 1.496 or 1.5
Now multiply this by 2 to get the length of x

Zack has a car. He wants to sell it for 60% off the current price.the market price is $500. How much money would he receive in e
Mariana [72]
Since Zack wants to sell his car for 60% off the current price of $500, he has to multiply 0.60 (60% in decimal form) by $500, which equals $300. Now, the next step is very important. He has to subtract $500 from $300 since $300 is the amount OFF. Once he does that, he will get $200.

- Hope I helped :)
