What favor does Liza do for Bod at Abanazer Bolger’s shop?

( The Graveyard )
Helga [31]

Answer:

Liza made Bod "invisible" so that the men who were looking for him couldn't see him.

Explanation:

When Liza entered the storeroom and saw Bod who was trying to "fade away," she helped him.

Abanazer Bolger and Tom Hustings were going to come to get him at any moment to force him to take them to the place where he had found the brooch, and maybe they would even kill him.

Liza reminded Bod that she was a dead witch so she hid him from the sight of both men and as soon as they entered the storeroom, despite looking in Bod's direction, they couldn't see him.

That is the favor that Liza did for him.

What does Chris' mother mean when she tells Chris that his dad is "chewing up his words to see how they taste before he lets the
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

It means that his dad was not quite sure about Chris joining the wheelchair basketball team.

Explanation:

 • When Chris met with the accident, his dad Jim took the blame to himself and was never over it. His dad was a man of few words and kept almost everything to himself.
 • When Chris told about his parents about the wheelchair basketball team, his mother approved it instantly but his father just stared at him and mumbled few words.
 • At this, Chris' mom tells him that his dad is "chewing up his words to see how they taste before he lets them out". She said it to mean that his dad was not quite sure about Chris joining the wheelchair basketball team.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ASAP

CHOOSE 1 ONLY

THX
lara31 [8.8K]
Of those offered, flashback is the most used in this selection. The other choices have to be very carefully discussed to be eliminated, however we have to defend flashback as well.

He is thinking back to a time -- pre monster -- where all was good and all was well and he was happy with his bride. Now he thinks only of revenge. He wants only to murder the monster as the monster has done to his family. He is cataloging his current feelings with those of the past.

It is not stream of consciousness. The technique had not been developed yet. This is well organized and on one topic. Stream of consciousness doesn't work that way.

foil
It is not a foil that has been created. Frankenstein hates the creation. It has robbed him of everything that is dear to him (his family mostly). A foil is not a strong enough description of the monster. He has not been created to give us incite into Frankenstein. The monster is a full blown antagonist.

Flash Forward.
The device used is flash back, not flash forward. Not in this section anyway. He is looking backwards when he gets to feel the joy of having his family. He gets this joy in sleep and he dreams of what they were. They are happy people in his dreams.

Paradox
A paradox is a contradiction that still is true. My favorite is "This sentence is false." If it is false, then it's true. And if it is true then the statement is false. You can't win.

It is not a paradox. Frankenstein's feelings are very straight forward.

Which of the following is not a type of verbal phrase?
ZanzabumX [31]
The correct answer should be 3. Subordinate.

Subordinate is used to explain clauses, not phrases, and it denotes a clause that cannot stand on its own as it conveys little meaning, thus requiring an independent clause to connect with it.
