By definition we have to:
 LOG (k2 / k1)=(-Ea/R)*(1/T1-1/T2)
 Where,
 k1 = 0.0117 s-1
 K2 = 0.689 s-1
 T1 = 400.0 k
 T2 = 450.0 k
 R is the ideal gas constant
 R = 8.314 KJ / (Kmol * K)
 Substituting
 ln (0.0117/0.689)=-Ea/(8.314)*((1/400)-(1/450))
 Clearing Ea:
 Ea = 122 kJ

Answer: The activation energy of the reaction is 122.007 kJ.

Explanation:

Rate constant at T_1,K_1=0.0117 s^{-1}

T_1=400 K

Rate constant at T_2,K_2=0.689 s^{-1}

T_2=450 K

Activation of the energy is given by formula:

\log\frac{K_2}{K_1}=\frac{E_a}{2.303\times R}\times \frac{T_2-T_1}{T_1T_2}

\log\frac{0.689 s^{-1}}{0.0117 s^{-1}}=\frac{E_a}{2.303\times 8.314 J/K mol}}\times \frac{450 K-400 K}{450 K\times 400 K}

On solving for E_a

E_a=122,007.88 Joules=122.007 kilo-Joules (1000 J = 1kJ)

The activation energy of the reaction is 122.007 kJ.

An object travels along a straight, horizontal surface with an initial speed of 2 ms. The position of the object as a function o
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

The options are not provided, so i will answer in a general way.

We know that:

The movement is along a straight horizontal surface, then we have one-dimensional motion.

The speed is 2m/s

We want a graph of position vs time.

Now, remember the relation:

Distance = Speed*Time

Then we can write the position as a function of time as:

P(t) = 2m/s*t + P0

Where t is our variable, that represents time in seconds, and P0 is the position at time t = 0seconds, we can assume that this is zero.

Then the equation is:

P(t) = 2m/s*t

And the graph is something like:

Which type of radioactive decay results in no change in mass number and atomic number for the starting nucleus?
Volgvan

Answer:

Gamma Rays

Explanation:

For the starting nucleus, the gamma rays is the type of radioactive decay results in no change in mass number and atomic number. This is only due to the fact that gamma rays don't have any mass and also don't have any kind of electric charge. So after decaying it shows no sign of change in atomic number because neither the mass has changed nor the charge.

Each liter of air has a mass of 1.80 grams. How many liters of air are contained in 2.5x10 to the third power kg of air?
valentinak56 [21]
Note: 2.5 * 10^3 kg = 2.5 * 10^3 * 10^3 = 2.5 * 10 ^6 g,  Because 1 kg = 10^3 g

This is simple proportion

1.80 grams of air  has a volume of 1 liter.

1 gram of air would have a volume of (1/1.8) liter

Therefore, 2.5 * 10^6 g would have:    2.5*10^6  * (1/1.8) = 1.3888 * 10^6 liters of air.
