Sorry. That inequality would not include the origin.

It says that 'y' is everything less than x-5 .

When x=0, the origin is at y=0, but the limit of the inequality is way down at -5.

Jack will spend a total of exactly $15 on Redbix movies and games. What equation in standard form can he use to graoh a line sho
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

1.25x+2.5y -15 = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount to be spent on Redbix movies and games = $15

Money to be paid for each movie = $1.25

Money to be paid for each game = $2.50

To find:

Equation in standard form that can be used to graph the line.

Solution:

First of all, let us learn about the standard form of equation of a line.

Standard form can be represented as:

Ax+By+C =0

Where A,B, C are constants.

Now, let us try to make equation.

Let number of movies bought = x

Amount to be paid for movies = $1.25x

Let number of movies bought = y

Amount to be paid for movies = $2.50y

Total money is $15.

Therefore, we can write the equation as:

1.25x+2.5y = 15

Standard form can be written as:

1.25x+2.5y -15 = 0

a) The arrangement of 9 paintings can be done 9 ways.

b) The arrangement of the 4 out of 9 paintings will be done as 21 ways.

<h3>What is the combination?</h3>

The arrangement of the different things or numbers in a number of ways is called the combination.

a) Here if she has 9 paintings so the number of the arrangements will be

^{9} C _2 =\dfrac{9!}{(9-1)!(1!)}\\\\\\^{9} C _2=\dfrac{9!}{8!}\\\\\\^{9} C _2= 9 \ ways

b) The arrangement of the 4 out of 9 paintings will be

^{9}C_{4}=\dfrac{9!}{(9-4)!(4!)}\\\\\\\^{9}C_{4}=21 \ ways

Therefore the arrangement of 9 paintings can be done 9 ways and the arrangement of the 4 out of 9 paintings will be done as 21 ways.

Blueberries cost 4.99 a pound. Diego paid 14.95 for his blueberries. How many pounds did he buy?
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

The answer is 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation would be: x = 14.95 divided by 4.99, rounded to the nearest one:

14.95 divided by 4.99 = 2.99599...

Normally, I would not round the number to the nearest digit in problems like these, but 2.99599 is quite close to 3, so this might be an exception.

Anyways, that's how I got my answer.

Hope this helped.
