Which of the following is not a fate of glucose circulating in the blood of a healthy individual? a) It can be converted to fat.
grin007 [14]

Answer:

B) It can remain, circulating in the blood indefinitely, this is not a fate of glucose circulating in the blood of a healthy individual.

Explanation:

Glucose is produced by breaking down carbohydrates, principally in the small intestine, when we eat a meal containing carbohydrates.This glucose enters the bloodstream.When glucose is in excess, the body stores it away in the form of glycogen in a process stimulated by insulin. Glycogen is a large highly branched structure, made from lots of glucose molecules linked together.Glycogen is mainly stored in the liver and muscles, therefore, excess glucose is removed from the blood stream and stored.

Insulin signals to the cell to translocate Glut 4 to the cell membrane, so that large amounts of glucose can be taken into the cell, via the Glut 4 transporters and converted into glycogen and used as a fuel for cellular activities. Furthermore with the help of insulin, converted into fatty acids, circulated to other parts of the body and stored as fat in adipose tissue.

Why is it important for your brain to control many functions automatically?
juin [17]

Answer:

The brain controls what you think and feel, how you learn and remember, and the way you move and talk. But it also controls things you're less aware of — like the beating of your heart and the digestion of your food.

Think of the brain as a central computer that controls all the body's functions. The rest of the nervous system is like a network that relays messages back and forth from the brain to different parts of the body. It does this via the spinal cord, which runs from the brain down through the back. It contains threadlike nerves that branch out to every organ and body part.

Explanation:

If you brain does not, or is unable to perform multiple tasks automatically, you could have trouble breathing on your own, your heart could have problems, even your thought process, movement, and digestion could malfunction. Which could cause a multitude of complications.

Hope this helped, have a great day/night :}

Primary consumers depend on energy from plants for survival. Higher consumers depend on energy from primary consumers for surviv
yaroslaw [1]
The answer is C
The more plants there are, the more consumers there are. If there aren't enough plants, the consumers have no way of getting energy, and therefore cannot survive. The species also matters, because certain species of plants can only be eaten by certain species of consumers.
