but their number and their types vary according to the locality and environmental conditions.

Although, some microbes are always present and contribute towards natural flora BUT besides this others are present in specific environments such as some in hot springs bearing very HIGH TEMPERATURE RANGES for example: Thermus aquaticus.

some of them inhabit the acidic or alkaline soil feeding on HUMUS.

Most of the microbes prefer ATMOSPHERIC GASES i.e some require oxygen for their survival .For example: Pseudomonas.

some don't require O2 for survival i.e Spirochete.

IN SHORT, most of the microbes have preferences for various environmental conditions.

A good extraction solvent should have a strong solubilizing capability for the compound of interest, it should be immiscible or only weakly misciblewith the matrix solvent ( the first solution or mixture containing the compound from its natural source, e.g., water/ether. water/ chloroform, etc. If possible the extraction solvent should be non-flammable, non-toxic or of low toxicity, reasonably volatile, and of low eco-impact. Inexpensive and available, of high purity , and shelf stable.
