The switch displays this message because the configuration file and all of its contents was not saved to non-volatile random-access memory (NVRAM). It is currently only located in RAM. To copy the running configuration file which, you should use the copy run start command which will copy the running configuration file to the startup configuration. It will prompt you to save the start config file.
