Answer:

C. 4n.

Peggy had 2 nickels and 8 quarters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let n represent number of nickels.

We have been given that Peggy had four times as many quarters as nickels. We can represent this information in an equation as:

\text{Number of quarters}=4\times n=4n.

We are also told that she had $2.10 in all. We can represent this information in an equation as:

0.05n+0.25(4n)=2.10

0.05n+n=2.10

1.05n=2.10

\frac{1.05n}{1.05}=\frac{2.10}{1.05}

n=2

Therefore, Peggy had 2 nickels.

\text{Number of quarters}=4\times 2

\text{Number of quarters}=8

Therefore, Peggy had 8 quarters.

Can anyone help with this question
4vir4ik [10]

Answer: A) x=6

Step-by-step explanation: my trick that i do with these questions are to just fill in the x's with the different choices that they give you.

so... first try out 6. fill in every x with a 6. so now, x isn't x anymore, it's 6.

(8-6)=2

9 times 2= 18

3 times 6= 18

this means that x would equal 6

if that first one doesn't work, try out the other ones. but this one works, so we know we have the right answer. i hope this helps with this problem, and i hope it helps with other problems like this too.

The perimeter of a rectangular slab of concrete is 24 meters. If the length of the
sergejj [24]

perimeter = 2L +2W

the problem states the length ( L) is 2 meters longer then width, so L = w+2

so perimeter =2(w+2) +2w

24 = 2(w+2) +2w

24 = 2w+4 +2w

24 = 4w+4

20=4w

w=20/4 = 5
