Answer:

Slavery and the difference in perceptions:

It is very unfortunate that a slavery was one of the greater issue in the past few centuries, as there were imperial rules across the globe which brought underprivileged people from the poor countries made too inhumane activities by treating them with a market value. As plantations were driven by these slaves and a number of people were left without having there basic rights which is also too unfortunate to look into. But, all this unethical and inhumane activities were there in the pre-technological era.

Now, there were some people and more over politicians who wanted slavery to end and argued about the basic rights of these people. As they had demands about having a more systematic form of society inside the region. While, there were also some people who wanted different social status and identity for each person belonging to the different races and backgrounds.

 1. Frederick Douglas who was in favor of the campaign to provide more basic rights to each and every individuals residing inside the United States. And for that reason he took a greater part in the different campaigns to make it possible for all the individuals to have there basic rights and improve there life while living inside the States. As the different proposals were presented to improve the system and have a more flexible and free system inside the region.
 2. While there was also a person named as Captain Canot as he was categorized in the category of those people who wanted more imposed form of high level society inside the region. As he believed that the slaves are brought by the imperial rule of England, along with there allies like Portugal and Spain who helped in bring these slaves from the underprivileged region across the globe. So, he demanded about have more strict rules to lead the state in a more systematic way. This was obviously wrong, as the people were not provided by there basic rights inside the region.

A potential conflict of interest exists when a given decision maker (D) and another person (P) are in the following situation: S
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

The correct answer is option e. both (b=P may have to exercise judgement in D's behalf) and (c=there also exists a conflict if D has to exercise judgement in P's behalf).

Explanation:

Conflicts of interest are those situations in which the judgment of a subject, in relation to a primary interest for him or her, and the integrity of their actions, have to be unduly influenced by a secondary interest, which is often of economic or personal type. That is, a person incurs a conflict of interest when instead of complying with the right thing, he could guide his decisions or act for his own benefit or that of a third party.

Because of this definition we understand that P has a conflict of interest in excercising judment in D's behalf but if P does that there may exist a conflict. Therefore P could refrain from giving a judgment, opinion or positioning in such a situation.
