Given

a club decides to sell t-shirts for $15 as a fundraiser.

It costs $20 plus $9 per t-shirt to make the t-shirts

sell in order to profit at least $150

Find out the number tshirts the club needs sell in order to profit at least $150.

To proof

let the number of t-shirts sell by the club = x

t- shirt selling cost = $15

t-shirt making cost = $20 + $9 per t-shirt

                               = 20 + 9x

than the equation becomes

15x -(20 + 9x)\geq 150

solving the above equation

we get

15x -9x ≥ 150 +20

6x ≥ 170

x ≥ 28.3 (approx )

In order to make a profit of atleast $150 club need to sell 28 t-shirts.

Hence proved

Pleaseee help with 22 & 23 !! ASAP !!
Blizzard [7]

#22. We are given that y = 1/4. So, we want to plug this value into the expression 15/y:

15/(1/4)

When you divide by a fraction, you should follow the rule “flip the guy and multiply”. Basically, 15/(1/4) = 15 * 4 = 60.

The answer for #22 is (D).

#23. We can use a proportion:

(The shaded area)/(entire circle area) = (360 - 60)/360

But, we don’t have to find the areas of the region and circle; we can just solve the fraction:

(360 - 60)/360 = 300/360 = 30/36 = 5/6

The answer for #23 is (A).
