History

It was definitely a success for the most part, cause if it wasn't we wouldn't be where we are politically, technologically, and economically

I think it was a success, but there was some failures. Inventions were being brought up, new laws were placed, and America started checking factories. Before investigators checked factories, they were a mess. The meat packing industry was unsanitary, and really didn't care about their workers health. The oil company was basically a monopoly because there wasn't any competition, Gail Borden invented the canning of condensation milk which before it it caused many diseases, these are just some of the many things that came out of the progressive era. The failure or the bad side of the progressive era were the political machines, which was people in the political area or owners of companies/factories running corruption.

james rents a computer for $40. the next day, the computer cost $55. what is the rate of change? Please show all work
kykrilka [37]

Based on the rental cost of the computer and the increase in the rent the next day, the rate of change was 37.5%.

How to find the rate of change?

The rate of change simply refers to how the price of the rent of the computer had changed from the day that James rented it, to the next day.

The rate of change can be found by the formula:

= (New rental cost of computer - Rental cost to James) / Rental cost to James x 100%

Solving for the rate of change gives:

= (55 - 40) / 40 x 100%

= 15 / 40 x 100%

= 37.5%
