Answer:

1) Increased probability of hazardous chemical contamination.

2) Air, water, and soil pollution.

3) Mortality in both terrestrial and aquatic organisms.

4) Development of diseases in humans.

Explanation:

The improper disposal of electronic waste can have detrimental consequences for the environment and, as a result, to all living beings including humans.

If electronic waste is thrown away in an open area, it warms up and releases hazardous chemicals that are detrimental for the health of living beings. This occurs because electronic objects contain toxic chemicals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, amongst others.

These chemicals will eventually enter both soil and water, harming thousands to millions of terrestrial and aquatic organisms. Moreover, these chemicals will enter the food chain and, as humans consume these affected organisms, we are also affected in numerous ways. For example, ingesting these chemicals could cause reproductive issues, damage to both the nervous and digestive systems, the development of cancer, etc.

In garden peas, the axial (A) flower position is completely dominant to the terminal (a) flower position. You cross a true-breed
xxTIMURxx [149]

Answer:

AA

Explanation:

A true breeding organism for a particular trait is an organism that would produce progeny with the same trait whe self fertilized.

Hence, since axial flower is represented by the allele A, a true breeding flowering plant will have the genotype AA.

Axial flower (A) is dominant over terminal flower (a).

True-breeding axial flowering plant will have the genotype AA.

True breeding terminal flowering plant will have the genotype aa.

AA is crossed with aa.

AA x aa

offspring: Aa, Aa, Aa and Aa.

All the offspring will exhibit axial flowering.

In which sealed container would the organisms be able to continuously cycle O2 and CO2 gases? A. A terrarium with a plant and a
Zina [86]

Answer:

A terrarium with a plant and a snail

Explanation:

This is because snail uses oxygen for cellular respiration and releases carbondioxide as by product.

Where as plants uses carbondioxide exhaled for photosynthesis in the presence of light energy and chlorophyll with water to produce glucose and oxygen. Therefore cycle if oxygen and carbondioxide gases is continuous.

Which characteristics do cell membranes and cell walls have in common?
bekas [8.4K]
A/Cell membranes and cell walls are selectively permeable and aid in communication.
Explanation: Cell Membranes or cell wall have phospholipid bi layer which functions as a selectively permeable barrier that separates an internal environment from an external one. They are selective permeable through passive process (concentration gradient) allowing certain molecule diffuse into cells
