The sperm cells are matured in an epididymis.

Further Explanation:

The male reproductive system <u>produce sperm that are important for gamete formation</u> during reproduction. The male reproductive system is lies outside the body. It consists of penis, scrotum, and testicles. Testicles are the oval-shaped organ that consists of seminiferous tubules.<u>Theyconsist of a pair of the testis that support the production of both sperm as well as sex hormones.</u> The sperm carries a half (23)number of chromosomes. The process of formation of sperm is called spermatogenesis. It takes place in the seminiferous tubules. <u>One complete cycle requires 64 days to produce sperm from spermatogonia. </u>

<u>In the beginning,spermare immotile </u>and are supported by the testicular fluid for movement from lumen to epididymis. It <u>is a coiled shaped tube that is attached to the testis</u>. Here, the sperm mature in this tube. As the sperm move along the length of the tube, they improve their ability to move on their own. When they get into the female reproductive tract, they use this ability to move within the uterus of the female reproductive system.

Testes

Sperm cells are developed in the testes. The process of meiosis occurs here where the cell divides itself into four haploid cells. This particular process is called as spermatogenesis. This occurs in order for the parent or host to distribute those desirable genes fit for the succession of species.

Which of the following is not a characteristic of cancer cells?
julia-pushkina [17]

Answer:

B. They have a single small nucleus.

Explanation:

The presence of large nucleus is a characteristic feature of cells that frequently undergo cell division. Cancer cells are characterized by uncontrolled continuous cell division even when the new cells are not required by the body.

This leads to the formation of benign or metastatic tumors. To undergo continuous cell division, the cancer cells have a large nucleus. The nucleus of the cancer cells is mostly hyperchromatic and distinct due to higher nuclear to cytoplasmic ratio. It allows these cells to exhibit the uncontrolled cell division.

A population of kangaroos is growing at a rate of 2% per year, compounded continuously. If the growth rate continues, how many y
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

The correct answer is 20 years.

Explanation:

It is given that the growing rate is 2% or 2/100 = 0.02

This rate got increased to 150%

The formula for exponential growth is:

A = Pe^rt

Let the initial population be 100%

150 = 100.e^0.02*t

3/2 = e^0.02t

1.5 = e^0.02t

After taking log from both the sides:

ln(1.5) = 0.02t * ln(e) [ln(e) = 1]

ln(1.5) = 0.02t

t = ln(1.5)/0.02

t = 20.27

Thus, it will take around 20 years for the size of the population to reach 150 percent of its present size on the basis of the exponential growth function.

Which of the following statements best defines the term operon? a. An operon is a region of RNA that consists of the coding regi
denis-greek [22]

The correct answer is: c. An operon is a region of DNA that codes for a series of functionally related genes under the control of the same promoter.

Operons contain cluster of genes that are transcribed together into mRNA or are not expressed at all. Formed mRNA undergos splicing to create monocistronic mRNAs so that can be translated separately. Operons are more often found in prokaryotic cells but it can appear in eukaryotic cells and in viruses.

If a cell divides by mitosis so that one cell eventually becomes part of the brain and the other cell becomes part of a salivary
Nina [5.8K]

Answer:  The cells  have  differentiated.

Explanation:

The process by which a cell changes from one type to another is called cellular differentiation. When this happens, the cell changes to a more specialized type. So this creates differentiated daughter cells which are important in a multicellular organism because <u>they are able to perform different and specialised functions</u> in an organism.
