What can you determine from the principles of cross-cutting relationships?
MatroZZZ [7]
Using the principles of cross-cutting relationships, you can determine the relative age of rocks found in the ground. The idea behind it is that the geologic feature which cuts another is the younger of the two features, and it had been around for 400 years. It's not very precise but it is good for determining relative age.

What is water preservation and why do we need it?
Vadim26 [7]
We cannot live without water. Saving water helps to preserve our environment. It reduces the energy required to process and deliver water, which helps in reducing pollution and in conserving fuel resources. Saving water now means having water available in the future for recreational purposes, too.

<span>Fresh, clean water is a limited resource. While most of the planet is covered in water, it is salt water that can only be consumed by humans and other species after undergoing desalination, which is an expensive process.
