They were similar because with olfactory lethargy you have a delay in detecting a new smell because your receptors are overworked from a  previously heavy smell, the same thing appear with afterimage, you stare at a color and your cones become lethargy, thus showing an afterimage of another color. they were contrasting because one deals with olfactory bulbs and the other deals with occipital lobes and optic nerves.

They were indistinguishable on the grounds that, with olfactory weakness you have a postponement in recognizing another scent on the grounds that your receptors are exhausted from a formerly solid notice, a similar thing occurs with afterimage, you gaze at a shading and your cones wind up noticeably exhausted, in this manner demonstrating an afterimage of another shading. they were distinctive in light of the fact that one manages olfactory knobs and alternate manages occipital projections and optic nerves.
