Solution to 7(y-3) =2(y-9) +2y
dolphi86 [110]

The value of y is equal to 1.

7(y - 3) = 2(y - 9) + 2y

Distributive property.

7y - 21 = 2y - 18 + 2y

Combine like terms.

7y - 21 = 4y - 18

Subtract 4y from both sides.

3y - 21 = -18

Add 21 to both sides.

3y = 3

Divide both sides by 3.

y = 1
