Ellie: s = 4 m/h

Justin: s = 1.5m/h

D = r • t

D is distance apart

r is rate/speed

t is time

r = 4 + 1.5 = 5.5 mph

d = 22m

Find t?

22 = 4•t

22/4 = t

t = 5.5 h

It will take 5.5 hours to meet up.

It would take 55 hours until Ellie and Justin meet. This is found in the equation y=55h aka y=55x.

Answer: y=55h

Find the equation of a circle passing through two points with a radius of 4
Marta_Voda [28]

Circle formula:  (x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²   ; where (h,k) is the vertex & "r" is the radius

Since the radius is 4,    (x - h)² + (y - k)² = 4²   →   (x - h)² + (y - k)² = 16

1) If you have two points, replace "x" and "y" with the coordinates to create two equations with unknown variables "h" and "k".

2) Then solve the system to determine the value of "h" and "k".

3) Input the values of "h", "k", and "r" into the Circle Formula.

A gym membership costs $25 to join and $14 each month. Write and use an algebraic expression to find the cost of the gym members
lina2011 [118]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

So we know that a gym membership costs $25 plus $14 each month.

In other words, the one-time cost is $25 and there will be a cost of $14 each month.

We can write this as:

f(x)=14x+25

Where f(x) equals the total cost given the number of months x.

For 6 months, the total cost will be:

f(6)=14(6)+25\\f(6)=84+25\\f(6)=\$ 109
