First they need to read widely about civic issues. They need to pay attention to the data on both sides of the questions.

They need to vote.

They can volunteer to help a political party or with specific issues or candidates. They can make phone calls and go door-to-door.

Above all, they need to encourage others to learn all they can and then to VOTE!
