Answer:

Each child has 50% chance of having the disorder

Explanation:

Huntington disease is caused by break down of nerve cells in the brain. It is caused by the formation of a protein with a long polyglutamine sequence. It is a dominant gene. This means that if the child inherits the gene then the child will definitely show symptoms of Huntington disease. So, each child has 50% chance of inheriting the gene meaning that each child has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease.

A neuron transmits information by the secretion of hormones. True or False
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

The given statement is false.

A neuron is the basic structural and functional unit of the nervous system. It helps in transmitting information from one neuron to another neuron, gland, or muscle cell.

The conduction of nerve impulse is electrochemical in nature. It transmits the impulse electrically through the axon the nerve cells and chemically through synapses (gap between two nerves cells).

The axon terminals of pre-synaptic nerve cell release chemical messengers (also called neurotransmitters) in the synaptic cleft. These messengers then bind to the receptors present on the post-synaptic nerve cell and regenerate the nerve impulse.

What physical and behavioral adaptations do zebras have that help them evade predators? a. live in families and travel in large
VMariaS [17]
I thought I already answered this but anyways, the answer is A. Zebras will live and graze in herds. When a predator spooks the herd the zebras run as one. That ways it confuses let's say the lion because they see in black and white. To them they see racing stripes so it's hard for them to decide which zebra to take down. If running together backfires, the zebras will stand their ground and protect the weaker and younger zebras by kicking and biting the lions. Hope this helps!
