Why did the Confederate soldiers not pursue the Union soldiers at the Battle of Bull Run?
kirill115 [55]
The reason that they did this was because they truly didn't have much of a choice. Back then, soldiers had a different formation that we see now like in CoD or Battlefield. and even though they didn't know how many soldiers were down there, they didnt want to risk it. they also were not sure if it was worth it to charge the soldiers because of the fact that there wasn't much to salvage down in their camp if they won.

hope this helps :)

What issues did the declaration of independence fail to resolve regarding equality?
satela [25.4K]
It wasn't legaly binding and was available for individual interpretation, which resulted in the notion of equality not including African-Americans, Native-Americans, and women. Those three groups were very affected by this since they were either enslaved or had no rights and could only be housewives.

Arthur J. Jone, who quit his job as a public defender
mixer [17]

An effective public defender system should be funded in the same way other organs of government are funded - via taxes.

What is a public defender system?

In the United States, the public defender system is a system of attorneys-at-law appointed by the courts to defend, represent and advise those who are unable to afford to hire a private lawyer or attorney.

The public defenders are usually appointed or provided by the state or federal government. Their job function stems from the fact that every developed society must maintain a justice system that is founded on equity and justice to remain functional.

This is a justification for why taxes should be appropriated to fund the system. They may also be funded from fines paid by individuals or corporations who err against the state.
