The Delta is Formed by streams slow down when they meet the ocean and deposit sediment. Actually When a river reaches a lake or the sea the water slows down and loses the power to carry sediment . The sediment is dropped at the mouth of the river. Some rivers drop so much sediment that waves and tides can't carry it all away. It builds up in layers forming a delta. In Geographical Word: A river delta is a landform that forms from deposition of sediment carried by a river as the flow leaves its mouth and enters slower-moving or standing water. This occurs where a river enters an ocean, sea, estuary, lake, reservoir, or (more rarely) another river that cannot transport away the supplied sediment.

The great ocean conveyer belt explains how cold the dence water curiculates ypwellinf occurs sun light surface water and then th
Scilla [17]

True

Explanation:

The ocean conveyor belt explains the cyclic nature of global water round the globe.

It suggests that cold denser water circulates and moves downward whereas warm water rises.

 • The great ocean conveyor belt shows that the world's ocean is constantly circulating and mixing.
 • At high latitude where temperature is low, warm water from around the equator where the sun is over head loses heat to warm the atmosphere.
 • As they lose heat, they become colder and denser.
 • They then sink and begin to flow southward where they get heated and rise.
 • This conveyor belt is driven by salinity and temperature differences.
