The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The Iranian hostage crisis was an international incident that started on November 4, 1979. Iranian students occupied the United States Embassy in the capital city of Tehran. Iranian people disagreed with the authorization of US President Jimmy Carter of allowing the deposed Sha to enter the United States for medical reasons. That was the excuse, but what really happened was that Iranian youth -led by Ayatollah Khomeini- wanted to protest for the US interference of the national issues in Iran. The hostages were freed on January 21, 1981.

That the more extreme Muslim Shiites did not support the pro-U. shah of Iran. It also represented Carter’s ultimate failure to broker and sustain peace in the Middle East.

Why can’t America have a completely open border
saveliy_v [14]

Answer:

America cannot have a completely open border, for then there will be no "United States of America". A nation is defined by it's borders, and for it to be a sovereign nation, there must be a border, as well as guards to the border. In the case of opening the borders, you are essentially not only taking away the sovereignty of the nation, but also taking away from the very definition of a nation, "a large body of people united by common..., inhabiting a particular

land".  Without a border, without protection, without those who want to continue to help the US grow as a nation, America will not survive. In fact, no country will survive, as their benevolence will lead to structural & internal collapse.
