Combine the like terms by adding the coefficients,
->5x^4 can't add anything so leave it there,
->-3x^3 can add -3x^3 which gives you -6x^3,
->We can't do anything with -11x^2 so leave it there as well,
->6x add to -(-8x) gives you 14x,
You will get for your final answer is 5x^4-6x^3-11x^2+14x.

I believe your answer is B.37 because if u make the x a 5 like shown in the equation it now looks like h(5)=8(5)-3 so now you solve it and i got 37 i hope this helps you!<span />

sam has to climb to the top of the building for his firefighter training. he doesn’t know how high it is. he is 6ft y’all and hi
Virty [35]

The height of building is 35 feet

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

Sam is 6 feet tall and his shadow is 3.6 feet tall

The shadow of building is 21 feet long

<em><u>To find: height of building</u></em>

We can solve this by setting up a ratio comparing the height of the building to the height of the Sam and shadow of the building to the shadow of the Sam

Let us consider,

h_b = height of building

h_m = height of Sam

s_b = shadow of building

s_m = shadow of Sam

Therefore,

\frac{\text {height of building}}{\text {shadow of building}}=\frac{\text {height of Sam}}{\text {shadow of Sam}}

\frac{h_{b}}{S_{b}}=\frac{h_{m}}{S_{m}}

Substitute the values,

\begin{aligned}&\frac{h_{b}}{21}=\frac{6}{3.6}\\\\&h_{b}=\frac{6}{3.6} \times 21\\\\&h_{b}=35\end{aligned}

Thus height of building is 35 feet
