Match the following statements and negations. 1. The grass is not green. Geometry is interesting. 2. This rose is not white. Two

points determine a line 3. 5 + 4 ≠ 90 All pigs are fat. 4. Milk does not taste good. A line has no length. 5. Geometry is not interesting. This rose is white 6. A line has length. My dog has fleas. 7. All pigs are not fat. The grass is green 8. My dog doesn't have fleas. 5 + 4 = 90 9. Two points do not determine a line. A line does not have a midpoint. 10. A line does have a midpoint. Milk tastes good.

Answer:

Because the negation is opposite of  the given statement. Therefore , we match given statement with opposite of given statement.

Step-by-step explanation:

In negations we match given statement with its opposite statement .

1.Statement : The grass is not green.

Negation: The grass is green.

2.Statement: Geometry is interesting.

Negation:Geometry is not interesting.

3.Statement:This rose is is not white.

Negation: This rose is white.

4.Statement: 5+4≠90

Negtaion: 5+4=90

5.Statement: Milk does not taste good.

Negation: Milk tatses good.

6.Statement: All pigs are fat.

Negation : All pigs are not fat.

7. Statement: Two points determine a line.

Negation: Two points do not determine a line.

8. Statement: A line has length.

Negtaion: A line has no length.

9. Statement: My dog has fleas.

Negation: My dog has no fleas.

10. Statement: A line does not  have a midpoint.

Negation: A line does  have a midpoint.

The grass is not green; the grass is green.
Geometry is interesting; geometry is not interesting.
This rose is not white; this rose is white.
Two points determine a line; two points do not determine a line.
5+4≠90; 5+4=90.
All pigs are fat; all pigs are not fat.
Milk does not taste good; milk tastes good.
A line has no length; a line has length.
My dog has fleas; my dog doesn't have fleas.
A line does not have a midpoint; a line does have a midpoint.

To negate a statement, you make it mean the opposite thing.

Radium 226, which had been used for cancer treatment, decays with a half-life of 1622 years. suppose there is a 6 gram sample of
sveticcg [70]
This is a relatively simple half life calculation.
To go from 6 to 3 grams, 1622 years is required.
3 to 1.5 grams another 1622 years is required.
So, it undergoes exactly 2 half-lives or 3,244 years.

Select the equation that contains the point (4, -8), and in which the graph of the line has a positive slope.
BaLLatris [955]
Okay, let me just make this a little clearer. Hopefully, this is what you meant:

A. y - 8 = -4(x + 4)
B. y - 8 = 4(x + 4)
C. y + 8 = 4(x - 4)
D. y + 8 = -4(x - 4)

--

This can also be written as y2 - y1 = m(x2 - x1).

Your M is your slope.

Both A and D have their m as a negative 4. Because you are looking for a positive slope, immediately cancel those answers.

* note that you could have also put them in a more standard form and discovered m which is the x in bx.

Now, you are looking for an equation that contains (4,-8).

Because it is written as y2-y1, your y's are actually points if you were to find another slope or something. This part is a bit hard to explain, but -8 is only found in the y coordinate place in answer B. Your answer would be B. For more explanation on that, there's this great site called coolmath.com and if you search for finding the equation of two points, it explains it much better on there, but I would not want to plagiarize.

The answer is B.
