Answer:

b. Developed its distinctive Cajun culture in the seventeenth century

Explanation:

French Louisiana was the territory that was controlled by the French in North America. It expanded roughly from the Great Lakes in the north, to modern day Louisiana in the south. The French influence was the greatest in the southern part of the colony, which is now the state of Louisiana. The French abandoned the territory, or rather they sold it tot he British, but their cultural legacy remained. The French people that settled in the colony developed their own unique culture during the 17th century, and that culture is still in existence. The culture is called Cajun, and it is one of the most unique and interesting cultures in the United States. It is largely based around the French culture of the period when these people settled, with some unique traits added by them over the centuries, and having their own unique French dialect, cuisine, music, and even social norms.

2. Address the idea of liberty and Republicanism for both
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

To pro-slavery factions, liberty and republicanism were to a limited extent, that is to say, they only applied to white people, not to black people or to enslaved people. Pro-slavery factions thought that it was their right and freedom to enslave other people to work for them.

To abolitionists, liberty and republicanism were universal and applied for everyone. This meant that slavery was not to be permitted, because it went against the very liberty of a whole group of people.

1- Higher interest rates in a country --- More foreign investment in a country

2- Higher currency value  --- Decrease in exports

3- Lower currency value  --- Increase in exports

4-  More people adopting foreign clothing styles --- Cultural imperialism

5-  decrease in exports -> lower currency value

6-  more foreign investment in a country  -> higher interest rates in a country

7-  cultural imperialism  -> more people adopting foreign clothing

8-  increase in exports -> higher currency value

Explanation:

1- The higher the interest rates in a country, the greater the benefit that it pays to foreign investments; therefore, at a higher interest rate, more foreign investment in that country.

2- The higher the valuation of the currency in a country, the less competitive the currencies of the other countries. Therefore, the higher the value of the currency of a country, the lower the amount of exports, since the rest of the currencies would lose purchasing power.

3- The lower the valuation of the currency in a country, the more competitive the currencies of the other countries will be. Therefore, the lower the value of the currency of a country, the greater the amount of exports, since the rest of the currencies would gain purchasing power.

4- Cultural imperialism refers to all forms of ideological imposition developed through the media and other forms of cultural production in order to establish the values of a dominant society in a certain peripheral or dependent society.
