Please take a look at the picture. Please write your answer with an explanation.
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

-1

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the expression:

-5x + 6y - 7y + 4x

With condition x = -3, y = 4

Therefore, substitute x = -3 and y = 4.

-5(-3) + 6(4) - 7(4) + 4(-3)

Recall every important fundamental math such as multiplying with negative.

15 + 24 - 28 - 12

Evaluate:

39 - 40

-1

Alternative solution is to combine like terms first before substitution.

-x - y

Thus:

-(-3) - 4

3 - 4

-1

If the area is 64 inches squared, what is the missing length ?
Igoryamba
The area of a parallelogram is equal to the base multiplied by the height. Since we can see that this is a parallelogram (because of the two pairs of parallel sides), we now know how to find the area. Since we already know the height and the area, we can substitute their values into the formula to solve for the base.

8 * (the base) = 64

Divide each side by 8 to figure out the length of the base

the base = 8 in.

Two points, A and B, are on opposite sides of a building. A surveyor chooses a third point, C, 60 yd from B and 105 yd from A, w
Virty [35]

In the given question it is given that , AC = 105 yd, BC = 60 yd and angle ACB= 69.3 degree.

We have to find the distance of AB, and for that we use law of cosine, which is

(AB)^2 = (AC)^2 +(BC)^2-2(AC)(BC) cos \theta

Substituting the values of AC, BC and theta, we will get

(AB)^2 = 105^2 +60^2 -2(105)(60) cos 69.3

(AB)^2 = 10171.217

AB= 101 yard

Give an example of where you would use either the Commutative or Associative Property of Addition in a real world situation.
umka2103 [35]

So the best I could come up with is paper-rock-scissors; the operation takes two inputs and puts out the winner (assuming they are different).

So (paper rock) scissors= paper scissors = scissors,

But paper (rock scissors)= paper rock = paper.

This is a good example because it shows that associativity matters even outside of math.
