The idea of warfare with other planets is unsettling.

Explanation:

The  line refers to "The War of the Worlds"  by H. G. Wells. It is about the possible war bewteen Mars and Earth. Mars has cooled down and the only way out from that hostile situation is declaring war against the "warm" Earth.  The inhabitans from Mars have been suffering from the destruction of their environment for long. It is the destruction of their own planet that has been moving slowly through generations. and generations , so the time to carry weapons towards the sun , which is above the Earth, has come.
