Write an inequality to represent the real-world problem. Then explain how you created the inequality. You have cavities and you

are looking for a cheaper dentist. Dentist A costs $50 for the visit and $20 per cavity. Dentist B costs $70 for the visit and $5 per cavity. When would Dentist B be cheaper than Dentist A?

20x+50= 5x+70

x = number of cavities
use the subtraction property of equality and solve for x
20x+50 = 5x+70
-5x -50    -5x - 50

15x = 20

Then you divide 20 by 15
15x = 20
-----   -----
15      15

x= 4/3

Thats what I got sorry if its wrong :(

Twenty four over the quantity of 3 x minus two. Find f(−2).
TEA [102]
Answer:

f(-2) = -3

Explanation:

Not sure if those last couple numbers are answer choices, but I'm going to infer that they might be.

Twenty four over the quantity of 3 x minus two in standard form is:

f(x) = <span>24<span>3x−2</span></span>

Since the number in the ( ) = x, plug in for x using f(-2)

<span>24<span>3∗<span>(−2)</span>−2</span></span>

P E {M D} {A S} for where to solve first

Multiply the 3 and (-2):

<span>24<span>−6−2</span></span>

Add -6 and -2:

<span>24<span>−8</span></span>

Divide the rest:

f(-2) = -3
