One inch would be the full 8/8. you need to show how much more you need to get to that. basically 8/8-3/8=5/8 more needed

That's nice... lol

Your answer is 5/8

Just take 1 and subtract 3/8

3/8+5/8=1

P.S If you could give me brainliest that would be great since I only need a few more to level up :p

Find the balance in an account with $4,250 principal earning 3% interest compounded quarterly
Sergeu [11.5K]

\bf ~~~~~~ \textit{Compound Interest Earned Amount} \\\\ A=P\left(1+\frac{r}{n}\right)^{nt} \quad \begin{cases} A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\ P=\textit{original amount deposited}\dotfill &\$4250\\ r=rate\to 3\%\to \frac{3}{100}\dotfill &0.03\\ n= \begin{array}{llll} \textit{times it compounds per year}\\ \textit{quarterly, thus four} \end{array}\dotfill &4\\ t=years\dotfill &12 \end{cases}

\bf A=4250\left(1+\frac{0.03}{4}\right)^{4\cdot 12}\implies A=4250(1.0075)^{48}\implies \stackrel{\textit{rounded up}}{A=6083.47}

Osama starts with a population of 1,000 amoebas that increases 30% in size every hour for a number of hours, h. The expression 1
Blizzard [7]

Answer: The correct option is A, itis the product of the initial population and the growth factor after h hours.

Explanation:

From the given information,

Initial population = 1000

Increasing rate or growth rate = 30% every hour.

No of population increase in every hour is,

1000\times \frac{30}{100} =1000\times 0.3

Total population after h hours is,

1000(1+0.3)^h

It is in the form of,

P(t)=P_0(t)(1+r)^t

Where P_0(t) is the initial population, r is increasing rate, t is time and [tex(1+r)^t[/tex]  is the growth factor after time t.

In the above equation 1000 is the initial population and (1+0.3)^h is the growth factor after h hours. So the equation is product of of the initial population and the growth factor after h hours.

Therefore, the correct option is A, itis the product of the initial population and the growth factor after h hours.

An electrician has a spool of wire that is 200 m long. she needs four pieces of wire measuring 42.3 m, 37.8 m, 55.6 m, and 35.7
mylen [45]
She needs exactly 42.3m + 37.8m + 55.6m + 35.7m = 171.4m for accomplishing her job, so there will be 28.6 m  (200m-171.4m)  of wire after she finished her work.
