Why do people prefer to settle with others from their original homes

Sometimes people prefer to settle with others from their original homes because of language, culture and traditions. Often people will share same values as they grew up in the same area and can enjoy and share as well same foods of their home, remember their stories and memories of their homeland, enjoy music and other cultural ties that they can not experience in the same way with others groups as the one from their original homes.
