Haven't heard "expanded form" in ages.

65 = 60 + 5

Other examples (try to catch the pattern, it is rather simple.)

174 = 100 + 70 + 4
4190 = 4000 + 100 + 90
34156 = 30000 + 4000 + 100 + 50 + 6
10042 = 10000 + 40 + 2

Write a situation that can be represented by the expression 3a+6 where a=age in years
mars1129 [50]
This equation can be used when comparing ages.

An example to illustrate this:
Assume that adding 6 to 3 times the age of Jack will give us the age of his grandfather.
When translating this into equations, assuming that the age of jack is "a" and the age of his grandfather is "b", we will find that:
b = 6 + 3a

If the distribution is really (5.43,0.54)
defon

Answer:

0.7486 = 74.86% observations would be less than 5.79

Step-by-step explanation:

I suppose there was a small typing mistake, so i am going to use the distribution as N (5.43,0.54)

Problems of normally distributed samples can be solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the pvalue, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

The general format of the normal distribution is:

N(mean, standard deviation)

Which means that:

\mu = 5.43, \sigma = 0.54

What proportion of observations would be less than 5.79?

This is the pvalue of Z when X = 5.79. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{5.79 - 5.43}{0.54}

Z = 0.67

Z = 0.67 has a pvalue of 0.7486

0.7486 = 74.86% observations would be less than 5.79

A triangle has sides of lengths 6 cm, 10 cm and 11 cm. An equilateral triangle has the same perimeter. What is the length of the
ryzh [129]

Answer: 9 centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

Add up all the sides, 6 + 10 + 11 = 27,

Since it’s the perimeter of an equilateral triangle, you do

27 / 3 = 9, which is the answer.
