John Wycliffe was a priest expert on theology, that developed rather unorthodox ideas that were reprobated by Pope Gregory VII in 1377.

Furthermore, even the Parliament denounced his schoolings although they granted Wycliffe permission to retire in Lutterworth. He died in 1384 but was condemned as heretical in 1415.
