A warm front generally brings gentle rains, which is often followed by mild warmer weather.

Explanation:

Warm front is formed when a gushes of warm air laden with moisture moves and gently slides above the moving cool air below it. The cold air is mainly responding for bringing the rain. Warm air being light rises above, but parts of it in direct touch with cold air, brings the moisture laden on the warm air to aggregate. Thus formation of cloud and consequently precipitation takes place causing gentle rainfall.
