Answer:

The development of the productive sectors is limited by the isolation of the region from the markets of their countries, the scarce endowment of resources and the small size of their internal markets.

Explanation:

The main economic activity is agriculture that is characterized by its development in rural characteristics, with a low degree of investment and capitalization, where traditional production practices prevail, with little use of modern techniques, machinery and agricultural implements. There is a limited volume of goods that are mainly destined for local consumption, forcing the population to stock up on products from the interior of the country.

The development developed in the region makes it very dependent on national contributions that represent a proportion of the region's product. Most of the basic items for the support of families come from the interior, being expensive for the area of supply of products that must be transported only by air.

The industry is very incipient, reducing itself to producing soft drinks, bakery items, confections and other items destined for local consumption. Trade, transport and energize them as the main activities evolve, being unevenly affected on each side of the border by the different behavior of the inflationary process in each country. Tourism offers good perspectives in the promotion of regional activity.

The activity that has demonstrated better behavior and the presentation of greater perspectives is fishing, which employs a large number of people and a stable income for them.
