Answer: Depends on the question.

Step-by-step explanation:

In most situations, the smaller number is on the right or left depending on what order you are putting the ratio in. For example: I have 8 oranges and 2 apples --> if I want to find the ratio of apples to oranges then the ratio is 2:8 or 1:4 (simplified), on the other hand, if I want to find the ratio of oranges to apples the ratio would be 8:2 or 4:1 simplified. In summary, it depends on what order the question wants you to answer in.

The piecewise function all the way to the left (x + 3) should have an ending point shaded in. [At x = -2] The next function ((x^2) -1) should have both ending points left unshaded. Finally, the logarithm function should have a shaded in starting point [At x = 1] and should have an unshaded ending point at x = 3.

The number pi goes on forever with repeating pattern therefore it is irrational
VMariaS [17]
The statement is false. It is incorrect that the number pi is an irrational number because of the phrase in the sentence 'repeating pattern'. Irrational numbers like Pi cannot be expressed as fraction or ratio of integers. Plus, they do not end (or like you said, they go on forever) HOWEVER they do not follow or have a repeating pattern.

Ok so when you add fractions, the denominators have to be the same, therefore: (whole numbers you can still add)

5(1/2)+5(1/2)= 10(2/2), which equals to 11.

5(1/2) is also 5.5, since 1/2 is 50/100.

5.5 + 5.5 = 11
