Use the nearest place value, how many tenths are in 5?

Mathematics
1 answer:
Sergeu [11.5K]3 years ago
7 0

Well, it depends on what the tenth is. A tenth is a place value, not a number. 0.1, goes in 5 50 times. 0.2 goes in 25 times. 0.3 goes in 16.667 times. 0.4 goes in 12.5 times. 0.5 goes in 10 times, 0.6 goes in 8 .33333333...(Repeating) 0.7 goes in 7.142 times. 0.8 goes in 6.25 times. 0.9 goes in 5.556.

How do you do four Column solving
Luba_88 [7]
<span>Arrange the first row arbitrarily: 1 2 3 4.
Then there is only one option to begin the next row: 3.
The remaining row must be 4 1 2.
This leaves no options for beginning the third row (1 and 3 are in the same column, and 2 and 4 share the diagonal).</span>

Given sin theta=5/13 and cos theta=12/13, which of the following can be proven using a Pythagorean identity?
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

4th option

Step-by-step explanation:

given

sinΘ = \frac{5}{13} and cosΘ = \frac{12}{13} , then

( \frac{5}{13} )² + ( \frac{12}{13} )²

= \frac{25}{169} + \frac{144}{169}

= \frac{25+144}{169}

= \frac{169}{169}

= 1

showing sin²Θ + cos²Θ = 1

In 2-3 sentences describe why the only way an infinite geometric series has a sum is if |r| &lt; 1.
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A geometric series is one where each term is multiplied by a constant value known as r to get the next term

Sum of n terms of a geometric series is

\frac{a(r^n-1}{r-1},|r|>1\\\frac{1-r^2}{1-r},|r|

Sum of infinite series is obtained as the limiting value of this sum when n tends to infinity

We find that only when |r|<1, r power n tends to 0 as n tends to infinity.

Other r power n diverges.

Hence geometric series infinite sum formula is valid only when

|r|<1 since the series sum converges to a finite value
