Brown v. Board of Education overturned the case of Plessy v. Ferguson. Oliver Brown wanted his daughter to attend an all white school but had to go to an all black school much farther away. The deviation from this court case what that the “separate but equal” from plessy v Ferguson was no longer valid because blacks still had inferior school.
